Aikido is a modern Japanese martial-art (gendai budo), developed by Morihei Ueshiba in the beginning of the 20th century.

For the beginner, training in Aikido may be merely physical, a tool to strengthen the body, and learn self defense.

For those who persevere, deeper layers of training are revealed.

Aikido is a way to improve our physical, mental and emotional condition. Above all, it is a way for us to find our true selves.

"The purpose of training is to tighten up the slack, toughen the body, and polish the spirit." - Morihei Ueshiba

Dana Levanony started her Aikido training in 2004 under Amir Graf Sensei from Ninomia Dojo. Moving to Tel-Aviv in 2011 she continued her training with Amnon Tzechovoy Sensei from Amonkan Dojo.

In 2013-2014 she moved to Athens, Greece to study under the guidance of Jenny Flower Sensei, staying partially as an uchi-deshi in Athens Aikido Dojo.
Today, she is a student of Robert Savoca Sensei of Brooklyn Aikikai, a direct student of T.K Chiba Shihan, the founder of Birankai.
